Four Tips for Entertaining Business Visitors in Dubai

When business clients come visiting and you have a day or two to spare to show them around Dubai, you must make the most of it. Corporate hospitality is not only about entertaining your clients; it is also about motivating and retaining them.

It’s easy to take a client out for dinner to a nearby restaurant, but this is the easy option. Be creative with your itinerary for business visitors, and make it a memorable, inspirational experience, this way, you will maximise your ROI. After lots of experience acting as a Dubai concierge and organising itineraries for both business and personal visitors, we’re sharing some of our recommendations, to help you make sure your business visitors have an enjoyable trip and leave with a great impression of Dubai.

  1. Sporting events

Dubai hosts a number of key sporting events throughout the year, try and tie your visitors trips in with these, particularly a high profile golf tournament like the annual Dubai Desert Classic.

Sports give you the opportunity to share a common passion with your visitor that is not based on work. Your visitor gets to watch some of the biggest stars display their prowess. A few hours in a restaurant is usually forgettable, a pro golf tournament can be inspiring. Find out first if they enjoy golf, and then, if the timing is right, get those tickets! Other sporting events in Dubai that work well for hosting include the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens and the Dubai World Cup, the world’s richest horse-race.

  1. Dubai Desert Safaris

Desert Safaris are a great option for first-time visitors. A 4X4 tour of the red dunes offers stunning scenery that is one of a kind, particularly at sunset. These often include a barbeque and entertainment the local way at a desert camp. In addition they usually offer shisha, sand-boarding, camel rides, and may include quad biking.

  1. Falcon Shows

Falcons are an integral part of the desert and the UAE’s heritage. Not everyone gets a chance to see these creatures in their natural setting. These gorgeous, majestic birds are a big part of Dubai’s history and culture. Falconry championships like the Fazza Championship bring hundreds of participants from around the world every year. At other times, you can always take your guest to the Al Maha or Babs Al Shams resorts to see them up close.

  1. Yacht charters

Your more adventurous business visitors may enjoy a yacht charter around Dubai Marina, Dubai Canal or Dubai Creek. A lot of these cruises offer an alternative view of Palm Jumeirah and the Burj Al Arab. They can offer on-boat music systems, swim platforms and sundecks, depending on the charter you choose, and whether daytime or evening.
